This story is written by an HSCV staff about a poor girl with heart problem. Your action can help bring a normal life to a girl that has been suffered way beyond her age.
We were working in the office when two men suddenly came in and said that they were introduced to HSCV by an anonymous person in front of Hanoi Heart Hospital. This hospital has been cooperated with HSCV for several years to help the poor children with heart surgery program.

One of the men introduced themselves then explained the reason why they came to the office. They have a niece who is 16 years old and live in Thai Binh province. She was the third child in a poor family of four children; her name was Quynh.
Quynh was born with a heart disease. The family knew of her problem for a long time but the financial difficulties had not allowed them to do anything, especially since an accident led to her father’s permanent brain damage. Neither could he work nor function as a normal person. Without any treatment, Quynh’s condition had gradually got worse until she was unable to walk. The heart problem had developed to multiple hand and legs problems. That was when her mother decided to sell half of the house (land) for Quynh’s chance in a heart surgery, which cost more than 40,000,000 VND (about $USD 2,500). After that, her family was left with almost nothing but her heart was completely operated.
Soon after, however, they learned that post-surgery’s medical treatment required Quynh to take medicine and have regular check ups at hospital. That would cost about 2,000,000 VND ($122) per month for at least two years, make the total cost at about 36,000,000 VND ($ 2,182). The short-lived hope turned to desperation since they had nothing else to sell to keep Quynh’s condition from getting worse and cost her life eventually. So the family’s relative came to HSCV on a slight hope asking for help.
Unfortunately at this moment, HSCV does not have any extra money for heart surgery program so we just try our best to help out by posting her information in our website and ask for the kind hearts somewhere in the world to give Quynh a chance to live!
Please take a look through this article and open your heart to a person who is really in need of your help.
Sincerely,
Hanh Ngo
